A Washington couple married on a flight from Los Angeles to Seattle in order to fulfill the bride’s dying mother’s wish.

Flight attendant Kristy Larsen‘s mother, Billie Jo, is battling late-stage cancer and always wanted to see where her daughter works, lives, as well as, her wedding day.

So Kristy and fiancé Jim concocted a plan to grant her mother those three wishes. On Friday the couple walked down the airplane aisle and tied the knot at 35,000 feet with Billie Jo aboard the flight.

“She wanted to come out and see where we were at because she knew I was happy out here in Seattle and wanted to come see Seattle and see our house here and just have a visual of what our life was like up here and that really it really touched me,” Kristy told FOX29.

The new bride added: “My mother is the world to me, anything to make my mom happy.”
