Tennis icon Chris Evert believes the demise of her marriage of 18 years to Olympic skier Andy Mills in 2006 was partly to blame on menopause.

The 61-year-old opened up about her multiple failed marriages during an appearance on The Forward Podcast, reported People.

“We had a rough couple years because I married Greg Norman who was Andy’s friend,” she said candidly. “I don’t know, I was going through menopausal stuff that doesn’t get talked about enough – what women go through, you know, at 50ish.”

After finalizing her divorce to Mills, she married pro golfer Greg Norman two years later. As she mentioned, he was a good friend of her ex and just 15 months later she filed for divorce from Norman.

Despite their troubled history, Evert says she and Mills have remained amicable as they share three children; Colton, 20, Nicholas, 22, and Alexander, 24.

“You know, Andy and I are still a family without living together. I think that’s the best way to put it,” the former #1 tennis player in the world said.

In addition to Andy Mills and Greg Norman, Evert was previously married to British tennis player John Lloyd from 1979 – 1987.
