Tobey Maguire and Jennifer Meyer Announce Their Divorce
Actor Tobey Maguire and his jewelry-maker wife Jennifer Meyer are ending their 9-year marriage.
The couple made a joint statement to PEOPLE announcing their divorce. The parents of two children, 9 and 7, vowed to stayed devoted to their family while maintaining respect for each other.
“After much soul searching and consideration we have made the decision to separate as a couple. As devoted parents, our first priority remains raising our children together with enduring love, respect and friendship.”
Jennifer Meyer, 39, is the daughter of NBCUniversal executive Ron Meyer. The Spider-Man actor, 41, and Meyer dated four years before tying the knot in Hawaii.
